| Turning 50 years old was a watershed event. To celebrate, my husband and I toured the South West and visited friends. There was too much information to incorporate in a single image, so I turned to the form of a postcard to my friend, Evie. This work has much written and visual detail. The work was juried into "Beyond the Fringe: Florida Fiber Art
2000", a year long show that tours Florida. Materials and techniques: hand dyed and commercial cottons, machine
appliqué, pieced and quilted. Hangs from a rod through a sleeve sewn on the back. |
