Description:

Dancing, leaping, cavorting women of size on a beach surrounded by palm trees and other tropical foliage. Earlier images of food as catharsis for stuffing have evolved into a celebration of my female body. Part of a series shown by Blue Spiral 1 Gallery of Asheville, NC in the "New 3: New Artists, New Works, New Year 2001". Materials and techniques: commercial cottons, netting, machine appliquéd with rayon thread, machine pieced and quilted. Hangs from a rod through a sleeve in the back.
