In this work, I am playing with the concept of "good food/bad food". I crossed out the fast food and made the health food in bright colors. The bowl of rice and veggies is depicted with sewn on dried beans and long white beads. The cup of herbal teal incorporates a real tea bag. The whole wheat bread has beads that resemble poppy seeds. I love purple so much that I hand dyed most of the different shades. Techniques and materials: hand dyed and commercial cottons, pieced,
appliqué, sewn on beads, seeds, quilted. Hangs from a rod slipped through the sleeve in the back.
