| During the summer, I lived in a small New Mexican village. The ecosystem is forested desert and the small river important to us. The area of the Jemez Falls is a lush oasis. The conceptual inspiration came from a book by Katie Masopust Pasquini called "Fractured Landscapes" which utilized varying intensity of hues. Techniques and materials: hand dyed silk and cottons, commercial fabrics, metallic thread, machine embroidery , quilting. Hangs from a rod through a sleeve sewn to the back. | |
