Description: |
| Since I moved to Asheville, North Carolina, I have discovered contra dancing, a type of folk dance in which one dances with all dancers in sequence. For me, it is a moving meditation and a pattern for life. This work depicts four people dancing with a pieced and appliquéd border with the title stitched on it. Materials and techniques: whole cloth dyed cotton, free machine quilted, pieced and appliquéd border. Hangs from a rod through a sleeve in the back. |
