| Our move to New Mexico was filled with illusion. We fell in love with the scenery, the simplicity and charm of a small village. We failed to understand the vast cultural chasm that existed between where we had come from and that of the back woods. This work gives the illusion of depth that is based on the Taos Gorge. Materials and techniques: hand dyed and commercial cottons, torn fabric machine appliquéd. Hangs from a rod through a sleeve sewn on the back. |
