| The figures are
human with animal masks. I was reading a lot of Native American lore and
felt drawn to expressing our connection to the animal world in shamanistic
manner. Behind the figures are free machine embroidered birds flying into
the sun or moon. We are often unaware of the influence of the celestial
bodies over our moods or behavior. Materials and techniques: commercial
cottons, free machine embroidery, sun dyed fabric, machine appliquéd.
